Pattern Making- The Late Bustle Era Bodice

Drawing hip flare for larger bustle



If you always wear the same bustle, then you may want to adjust your sloper accordingly. Instead of using the regular high hip and hip measures- use the ones taken over your bustle. It will give you a bit more "flare" at the hip line as shown below. The same steps 37-41 apply simply use the bustle enhanced measurements.
