Making a Late 18th Century Wardrobe: Ladies Caraco Jacket

Cutting and Assembling your muslin - 4 pieces only

Use pieces 1, 2, 3 and 4. Cut 2 of each. It is not necessary to cut out the entire skirt of the jacket. Our primary concern is the fit of the bodice.

Please use the following steps from your pattern directions:

  • 1A Back seam


  • 2A Side seams


  • 3 Shoulder seams


  • 4A,B,C Sleeves


  • 6 Setting in sleeves


  • 7A Sew stomacher to front


Well done! You have constructed your fitting muslin.
