Kissing Medusa

"Come" croons the blackness
   blooming through me like terror
like sickness like blood in water

I reach toward a forbidden gleam
           and touch stone-smooth skin
            touch smiling lips touch teeth

my tongue slips into her darkness,
         molding to her mouth's shape
as I mold to her undulations

and she bends me down O so far down
arching back, hand arm shoulder ground,
down to the bedrock and the bone

with quick snowflake kisses
with a thousand flicking tongues
upon my eyelids, ears, neck and clavicle

       she tastes my  quickening breath
she tastes my fear my lust
            she savors skin and soul

             Her serpentine musculature
              slides across my cheeks
              enveloping, devouring

her will as indomitable as marble
her molasses lips sweet and bitter
her touch as inevitable as mine

And now she delves deep, demanding,
and now she restrains, mocks, rages, teases,
and she is in me now, writhing, rising

and now

   and now

       now and now

oh, now her thousand serpents drive me,
now their thousand needles stab me,
now a thousand poisons flood me,
now the mirror shows her face.
